Before your first one

How a Junction ride works

Everything below is open to everyone. Here’s the whole of it.

  1. Sign the waiver and RSVP

Both happen on Strava, before you ride. The waiver is a one-time thing and covers you for everything after it. The RSVP is per ride, so we know who’s coming. Sign the waiver.

  2. Show up

Most rides leave from 160 Commonwealth Ave, but check Strava before you head out — that’s where any change gets posted. You don’t need to be fast, but you do need to be able to ride the one you signed up for. Most rides, if not all, are no-drop, and that works because people pick the right group. If a ride doesn’t feel like your speed, come to a different one. There’s something here for everyone.

  3. Pick your ride

Tuesdays are twenty easy miles before work. Once a month the weekend rides go out with a 30 and a 50 to choose between, and the women’s ride runs monthly too — thirty miles at the social pace, finishing at a coffee shop. Different speeds, same club.

  4. Stay for the end

Tuesdays finish at Flour with coffee. Weekend rides finish at Night Shift with beers and food. That part matters as much as the riding.

Every week

The Social Ride

Easy pace, early start, coffee at the end.

  1. Every Tuesday

Twenty easy miles before the city wakes up, then coffee at Flour. It's the ride most people start with.

Raining? We usually move it — check Strava the night before.

Now and then

Special events

One-offs that don't fit the usual pattern.

  1. Season closer and film festival

The usual 30 and 50 in the morning. That evening we screen the film we made this year.
